September 25 Monday at Degustibus Cooking School

Hi Chefs,

We are a week away to our first meeting since the spring. We are changing this up a little for the format of the meeting and making the whole evening a class demonstration and wine tasting!

We will meet Chef Dan Kluger of Loring Place. He is located at 21 W. 8th Street in the heart of New York's Greenwich Village. The restaurant is the culmination of a lifelong dream for the chef who has cooked in some of New York’s most beloved restaurants, for the city’s top restaurateurs, and is best known for leading the teams at ABC Kitchen and ABC Cocina as Executive Chef (named Best New Restaurant 2011 by the James Beard Foundation). At Loring Place, chef Kluger’s skill for creating delicious market-driven dishes, with unexpected but incredibly pleasing flavor combinations, is on full display. The menu, comprised of small and large shareable plates, spotlights farms and farmers whom Kluger has gotten to know intimately over 20+ years of frequenting the Union Square Greenmarket.enu, comprised of small and large shareable plates, spotlights farms and farmers whom Kluger has gotten to know intimately over 20+ years of frequenting the Union Square Greenmarket.

The location of the demonstration is De Gustibus Cooking school.

The cooking school is on the 8th floor of Macy’s Herald Square on the 7th Avenue side of the building. Take the 151 West 34th Street Entrance to the passenger elevators, up to the 8th floor. We are located directly to the right of the elevators.

The Doors open at 5:45 PM and class begins at 6:00 PM sharp. We must be prompt for this event and please plan ahead. If running late be text me at 914-498-0403.

Starting 5:00 PM I will be at Rowland Bar and Gill located on the lower level of Macys for a meeting point before we walk upstairs. Those arriving early Cocktails will be on me!!

I have 22 people signed up all ready. I need 10 more people! If you have not emailed me to confirm a spot please do so now!

The event is being covered by your dues for this year! Last minute cancellations will require a 150$ fee and you will have to host the next meeting in March :)!

Thanks again and see you all on Monday.
