November 2012 Newsletter
Dear Fellow Club Chefs,
I hope that all of you and your families are back to normalcy after Hurricane Sandy. As a result of Sandy, our Wine Tour was postponed until early Spring. Thanks to Chef Blake Verity for all his hard work in organizing this and we look forward to attending in the Spring.
A big thanks to Chef Maurice Hurley and General Manager Larry Kaiser of the American Yacht Club for hosting our October meeting. Chef Hurley and his staff prepared an amazing dinner, all in attendance were surely impressed. The food, wine, service, and ambiance all excellent. I would also like to thank Chef Scott Bryan of Apiary who was our guest speaker for the evening. He shared some of his thoughts on food, cooking and restaurants in NYC.
This Tuesday we are sponsoring a very worthwhile charity event at Hampshire Country Club hosted by Executive Chef Eddie Loayza and chaired by John Krall and Mike Dolan:
