December Meeting


Hello Chefs,

I would like to thank General Manager Mauro Piccininni and Chef Norberto for hosting us this month. We had a Sicilian inspired evening with the trip overview with Gary Portuesi and tasting of some items that we will see when we arrive.

.

November was a very busy month, it seems to have flew by with our meeting at Leewood on the 2, the elections, POTS fundraiser and Thanksgiving. Now December is right around the corner and back to work with the many holiday parties.

Speaking of parties, our Holiday lunch will be at the NoMad restaurant in the NoMad hotel in Manhattan on Tuesday, December 13th at 11:30 arrival/reception.

Check out there website for address and details. They just earned the first Michelin star this year. This is Chef Daniel Humm (Eleven Madison Park) other restaurant in New York City.

"The NoMad Hotel's casually-elegant food and beverage program comes from Chef Daniel Humm and Restaurateur Will Guidara. Inspired by Chef Daniel’s time spent throughout Switzerland, California, and New York City, the restaurant is rooted in the same traditions found at their critically acclaimed, Michelin three-star rated Eleven Madison Park."

They are famous for Whole Roasted Chicken for Two with Foie Gras and Black Truffle Broiche. The picture is shown of the first page of the website. We will be tasting that as one of the 4 courses that day! We will be dining in the roof top bar attach is a picture of the room.

Please RSVP back to me so I can plan the number accordingly with them. Price of lunch will be $150 all inclusive. Please bring a check with you that day. Should be a great time to ring in Christmas.

The final tally has come in for the Chris Gasse Golf outing and the final number raised for the family came to $22,000. Up from last year! Thanks again for everyone that participated.

We are looking for help in scheduling clubs to host the meetings in the spring/fall of next year. Please look at your calender's and see if you can contribute this year and be a host club.
