Hello Everybody!!

What a busy few weeks we are currently enjoying!! We had a great event at Bronxville Field Club to help raise funds for Jansen Hospice and Palliative Care, so thank you to all of you that participated and helped us continue to be a part of such a worthwhile event. Thanks also to Lori Sahagian and Dan Neuroth for hosting the event.

Then we had the Halloween Fright Night at Knollwood Country Club which was a great success and again kudos to Chef Michael Aguilar and his team for putting on a great event for us.

On Wednesday November 5th John Krall hosted us at Manursing Island Club for our November meeting. The meeting was very well attended and John and his team prepared a fantastic meal featuring Skuna Bay Salmon which was the topic of our education forum for the evening. It was also great to see some new and prospective members in attendance and I hope we see more and more new members at upcoming events.

We discussed the POTS event at Hampshire which is happening next Tuesday, November 11th. If you are not already participating and would like to help out, please email John Krall at john@manursing.com and I’m sure he could slot you in to a team for the evening. We also had a discussion about the trip to England and Ireland the planning for which is all but completed now and also sold out! We also have a Manager/Chef Holiday dinner coming on December 9th, details to follow as soon as I get them. I am also trying to plan a dinner for Chefs and spouses/significant others in December at a restaurant to be determined! I am open to suggestions if you have a place you think we would enjoy. We also discussed the possibility of CCW providing a Life Insurance and Health Insurance plan to our members. This is something Andrew is working on but we need a commitment from our members to make it worthwhile for the Broker to set it up. If you think that you or any of your staff would like to have this option available please let us know. Obviously the more people we can get to sign up, the better the rate we can get.

Our December Meeting will be held at Rockland Country Club, hosted by Chef Anton Brunner. The date for our meeting has not been set as we are trying to schedule around the Manager/Chef dinner and also Anton’s schedule at Rockland CC. I will let everybody know as soon as I know.
