Dear Fellow Club Chefs,

 

I want to thank Executive Chef, Fay Reyes for hosting our December meeting. As always Fay, great job!

 

The evening was exquisite with good friends and colleagues… and of course dinner was amazing.

Also, kudos to Cindy and Melissa Zakalik owners of Chocolate Promises for an exceptional presentation.

 

Thank you for showing us the endless ideas for chocolate embossing for our Clubs.

 

Much appreciation to everyone that attended the Tuesday lunch meeting, January 28th at Zero Otto Nove on Arthur Ave in the Bronx. We had a great time, though the market was closed (WOW – major Police presence!!!) and the Polar Vortex did not contribute. However, you had to love the Nutella Pizza from Chef Roberto and his team.

 

The Nominating committee will be meeting over the next couple of weeks to propose a slate for the 

new Board of Directors for The Club Chefs of Westchester. The slate will be proposed at our

February meeting hosted by Executive Chef Lenny Phillips at Shenorock Shore Club on February 11, 2014 at 10:30 AM at 439 Stuyvesant Avenue, Rye, NY 10580 – Phone: (914) 967-3700. If there is no opposing slate the new board will be installed at the March meeting, More information TBD as it becomes available.

 

The education for this meeting will be a demo on Sous Vide cooking and a demo of a new Combi Steam oven.

 

We will have our meeting and finish the day with lunch. Please RSVP to Chef Lenny or me to Chefpsh@yahoo.com.

 

On a final note Executive Chef Andrew Howgego and GM Victor Boyd are putting a BBQ trip together to Memphis area.

 

The cost will be $1000-$1200+ and we will be visiting about  26 different BBQ restaurants. If you are interested in attending please contact Andy at Ahogego@yahoo.com. ASAP.
