February 2013 Newsletter

Dear Fellow Club Chefs,

I would like to thank our education chairman Lenny Phillips of Shenorock Shore Club for

hosting and arranging our February educational workshop. Lenny has arranged to have

Alex Talbot do a cooking class on Gluten free cooking. The class will take place at Shenorock

Shore Club on Monday February 25 – February 26, 2013 from 10:00AM to 5 PM. We will be

producing several different breads, pastas desserts and pizza and pie dough. Any Chef

interested in attending should RSVP to The class space is

limited to the first 20 members in good standing on a first come first serve basis, than a

waiting list will be started.

Congratulations are in order to Austin Braswell on his new position as Executive Chef of

The Millbrook Club we wish you the best. I also want to thank Executive Chef Maxwell Shteyman

of The Beach Point Club for accepting the Membership Chairman position. I am sure that Max

will be a huge asset to Club Chefs of Westchester.

The Annual Metropolitan Club Managers Vendor Show is Tuesday March 19, 2013; this years

theme will be based on our educational trip to Naples and Rome Italy. Chef Lenny Phillips has

once again volunteered to coordinate this event. Please contact Lenny with your menus, your

team and club names so that we can have menu and signage approved so that once again

we can have an amazing event.

Lastly Our Next meeting will be hosted by Executive Chef Lorcan O O’Connell at Metropolis

Country Club on Tuesday March 12, 2013 at 11:30 AM followed by meeting and buffet luncheon.
