Dear Club Chefs

The Club Chefs Association has an overwhelming word of praise for our first meeting and dinner prepared by Chef Fay Reyes… Fabulous! We all understand the amount of work it takes to prepare a dinner on that level, therefore we would like to thank Chef Fay, Jow Maluso and the entire staff of Mill River Club for a fantastic job.

The Waccabuc Country Club hosted this past September 14 a fund raising outing to benefit the Chris Gasse Fund. Many thanks to all of you, venders, chefs and friends who helped raise around $10,000 for the family Fund. Special thanks to Chef Antonio Nunes and General Manager John Asumma for an outstanding job organizing the event. All those who participated had a great time and enjoyed the course.

On the same note, any chef from the club chefs association, who participates in the upcoming "Clara & Daniel Assumma Memorial Golf Outing" on Tuesday, October 6th at the Canyon Club, will have their fee matched by Frank Asumma and donated to Chris Gasse Fund as well. Our next meeting will be held at Bronxville Field Club on October 13, 2009, at 6 PM. Educational part of the evening will be done by Artisanal Fromagerie, from New York City. Please call chef Mike Dolan for Reservation.


A reminder about our field trip planned and sponsored by Baldor Specialty Foods for Tuesday October 6th. We will be visiting artisanal cheese maker The Pampered Cow, Hawthorn Valley and Twin Maple Farms plus an orchard nursery. A picnic luncheon will be provided. The bus will be leaving Bronxville Field Club promptly at 8am. We may be able to arrange an additional pick up point en route in Northern Westchester if needed. There is no charge for this event and interested guests are welcome. Please call Eddie Loayza for reservations.
