Dear Club Chef,
It has been a rainy and nevertheless busy summer. Labor day is coming around in a few weeks and club chefs will have their well deserved break from work. Just another reason to love the Fall season !!!
The Club Chef's Association golf outing will take place at Waccabac Country Club on September 14, 2009. Shotgun at 10 AM. Continental breakfast, refreshments on the course and cocktail reception to follow the golf outing. Price is 160 dollars per person. This is a very special event because all the proceeds will benefit the Chris Gasse Family Fund. Chris passed away last year, leaving a wife and seven kids. It is so important to have everyone, chefs and managers and friends participate on this fund raising event. Chris was a much loved past President of our association. Our next meeting will be held at the Mill River Club, Oyster Bay, LI. on September 22, 2009 at 6 PM. Please contact Chef Fay Reyes at 516-922-3556 ext 329 Email: moonfish73@aol.com for reservation.
We have a field trip planned and sponsored by Baldors for Tuesday October 6th. We will be visiting artisanal cheese maker The Pampered Cow, Hawthorn Valley and Twin Maple Farms plus an orchard nursery. A picnic luncheon will be provided. The bus will be leaving Bronxville Field Club at 8am prompt. We can probably arrange an additional pick up point en route in Northern Westchester if needed. There is no charge for this event and interested guests are welcome. Please call Eddie Loayza for reservations.
Thanks to John Krall and Eddie Loayza for organizing our summer dinner event at the Castle on the Hudson. Every one had a great time.
