Dear Club Chefs,                                                                     

I would like to start by saying many thanks to the dedicated members of our previous board for their leadership, time and professionalism in every aspect of our association.  Former Presidents Jacques Larson and Victor Flores, Secretary Steven Lustig, and Treasurer Joseph Doering.

John Krall, General Manager Albert Brunner, Sous Chef Matthew Roche and F&B Dana Leichtweis at Manursing Island Club graciously hosted our last meeting for the first meeting of our new board. We were treated to a superb dinner with a very good membership turnout. Thanks to every one involved on this special event.

For the educational portion of our meeting, Jeff Smith of Pine Island Oysters, John Hanesburg from Baldor, and Dan Scovotti from Dairyland joined us.  Thank you for your time and helpful information.

During the meeting, President Victor Flores thanked his board members and the Association for their support and guidance. Victor invited the new members of the board to come forward; President Eddie Loayza, Vice President Mike Dolan, Treasurer Joseph Guerra, and Secretary Raymond Hollanda.  I started the meeting by discussing the terms and roles of each new board member, and the overall state of the association.  I asked the association members to volunteer and participate on the creation of the new Committees, Education, Bylaws and Vender Show. On the discussion of the Association Annual Budget the board has concluded that an increase in membership dues to $450 is necessary to maintain financial stability. I spoke about the need to have a printed by law book available to all members. I finished by expressing my gratitude to the former board for their efforts and loyalty to the Association.

Our annual golf outing will be held at Hampshire Country Club, date still pending.

Our next meeting will be on April 1st at Cold Spring Country Club hosted by Chef Joseph Guerra.  Please RSVP by calling (631) 692-2550 if you intend to join us for the meeting and dinner.
